“Mad Liberation is a collection of songs that I have been working on for the past year that ranged from mostly original compositions to varied sample work (retro vinyl recordings and new all original recordings); digital synthesis that took me weeks to master; to live instrumentation tediously and soulfully recorded by myself and some of my very good friends.” GRiZ.
Over the last year I have been lucky enough to chill and work with Grant as he turned into the musical being that GRiZ has become to so many people. Not only is he a dope producer and saxophone player, but he’s a really down to earth guy and is exceedingly inspirational. And alongside one of the greatest sax players of our time, Dominic Lalli (Big Gigantic), they create a unique sound that crosses the boundaries of various genres.
As does the entire Mad Liberation album. Blastaa is a little taste of the fiery moombahton that you’re gonna hear him dropping all day at his live show. I highly recommend downloading the full album and checking him out the next time you get the chance! enjoy.
