Summer is here; for most of us. With summer comes a whole lot of releases by artists to be played out throughout the next few months. However, there is one release that will shadow them all. It comes from one of the most talented and consistent producers in the entire EDM scene, the one and only David Heartbreak. Brooklyn born, Heartbreak always brings his A-Game, which recently got him signed to Skrillex‘s highly acclaimed OWSLA label. To kick off this epic union, Heartbreak released a seven track EP entitled ‘The Foundation’. Each track brings something different to the table, with Heartbreak breaking genre barriers and fusing old aspects and styles with a neoteric attitude. Make sure to listen and cop this EP because if you do, then there is no possible way your summer will be lacking in the musical department. Heartbreak delivers in a big way.
We were very fortunate to have had the opportunity to interview Heartbreak as well! So while you take a listen to the EP, read through this revealing interview into the life and mind of David. Keep up to date on his projects and whereabouts because David has a bright future a head of him. He can be found on Facebook, Soundcloud and Twitter, or collectively at his own Website. Now, enjoy the following segments!

David Heartbreak Interview
Moombroton: First off, how did you get into music and more specifically EDM?
Heartbreak: I got into electronic music by Daft Punk. I actually purchased ‘Revolution 909′ back in the day and thought it was instrumentals (haha). But them along with Timbaland and Bjork, that was all EDM to me, plus I grew up listening to a lot of hip hop and rock, thats where I get my aggressive side from. Honeslty, I was very closed minded, I didn’t go as far as I do now into music, only regret I have. The types of music that you listen to says a lot about your personality.

Now let me tell you from first hand experience that this festival is definitely the top contender when it comes to EDM shows in Colorado. Obviously the beautiful venue plays a major role but the production and all around vibe calls for a one of a kind experience. Last year I had the pleasure of seeing artists such as Knife Party, Hardwell, Zeds Dead, Excision, and Dillon Francis rock the stage with seamless mixing and massive choons.
Well for the 11th year in a row Global Dance Festival is back at Red Rocks July 19th thru the 21st. For many of us, it’s that time of year again, the dreaded finals weeks. To help that along we have some amazing tunes for you guys this week that are sure to motivate you. But first, some news. Dubstep OG, Benga is releasing his brand new album in two days, which coincides with the Knife Party release. That’ll be one hell of a day! For those of you who know the chip tune band ANAMANAGUCHI, they finally have another album finished, with 22 tracks, but are looking for fiscal help to take it, along with other ideas (Merchandise, Live Show stuff etc.), to the next level. If anybody is interested then head over to Kickstarter to see what their project is and what they want out of it. Lastly, to get your lolz for the weekend here are 14 pictures of Producer/Djs from back in the day! Now, on to the sonic portion of your digestion!
Shorne: Brown & Gammon‘s vintage production style is bringing us a fresh new take on dance music reminiscent of edm’s roots. “Dark Matter” is a mesmerizing original electro tune from the UK based duo and was just recently released by the renowned Circus Records. Circus continues to build upon the platform Flux Pavilion laid down as founder of the label, and have just added the filthy up and coming Mizuki to the roster. Haven’t heard much from Flux recently but word on the street has it that he is also working on a live project much like Excision‘s Destroid, which will be premiering this summer at festivals across the world!

If you’re feeling the pressure from finals and end of the school year projects, then you’re not the only one. After all, we literarily have a couple of weeks left until most of our summers begin. Here is a midtempo track to get you ready for all the dancing you are going to do during festival season. K-Theory and JPinnau are two up and coming artist you will be glad you discovered now as both are getting more massive. Vengeance is a great glitchy track filled with a set of masterful patterns.
The San Francisco natives K-Theory have recently been creating some great songs for people to enjoy. They most recently did a remix of “Slap Me” for Kill Paris‘s “To A New Earth”, released on Skrillex’s OWSLA. This song is similar in that it has a lot of energy and a variety of different sounds. Make sure to go check out more of their recent bangers like The Limit and Stutter.
Enjoy!

Everyone here like some Knife Party? Good, because come May 6, their highly anticipated “Haunted House” EP is set to be released! They officially released the artwork and made the announcement today. DJ SAV and hypeman Mystereo are doing a podcast project, which they recently released the debut installment that you can listen to here. They will be covering music, obviously, as well as movies and other art forms. SAV also released a preview of one of his new tracks and it sounds like a banger!
We have some great tracks for you guys this week, but before we get to them we have something we would like you guys to do. Figure out an artist, or multiple, that you would like to see an interview from and send us a message on Facebook, or E-mail one of us. Shorne: Trap game wildcat David Lopez (aka Luminox) has been absolutely killing it lately. From dominating the stage at Snowball, to getting ridiculousy turnt up at Trapfest Denver, Luminox is surely at the top of the trap world right now. After a short hiatus from releasing new music he comes back at us with a wild original production titled ‘Tantrum’. Classic Luminox with an obvious upgrade in his production skill; can’t wait to hear more from the EnvyUs roster.
