Way back when the first Trapfest event occurred in Denver, I was able to talk to Bro Safari and he mentioned a release he was putting together with UFO and now, it is finally here! These two teamed up for the ‘Animal’ EP which features 10 tracks that span the genre board. Everything from trap, moombah, all the way to dubstep and drum n bass, this EP is versatile and insane. The title track, “Animal”, is a chill trap banger that makes unique use of vocal chopping throughout, as well as the blending of very fitting animal samples. “Bird Brain” is one of the two moombahton tracks and is a straight rager of a tune that is for sure a party starter. The only collab on this release was with Anna Yvette who provided beautiful vocals for the drum n bass track “Chimbre”, which concludes the EP in a wild and felicitous manner.
Make sure to head over to the Facebook pages of Bro Safari and UFO! and give them some love! After all, this EP was for the fans. Stay tuned for more releases from these two because they are two of the hottest producers out at the moment. I would not doubt another collaborative release in the future either! But for now, stick with this free release that will add incredible depth to your summer playlist.

Summer is here; for most of us. With summer comes a whole lot of releases by artists to be played out throughout the next few months. However, there is one release that will shadow them all. It comes from one of the most talented and consistent producers in the entire EDM scene, the one and only David Heartbreak. Brooklyn born, Heartbreak always brings his A-Game, which recently got him signed to Skrillex‘s highly acclaimed OWSLA label. To kick off this epic union, Heartbreak released a seven track EP entitled ‘The Foundation’. Each track brings something different to the table, with Heartbreak breaking genre barriers and fusing old aspects and styles with a neoteric attitude. Make sure to listen and cop this EP because if you do, then there is no possible way your summer will be lacking in the musical department. Heartbreak delivers in a big way.
We were very fortunate to have had the opportunity to interview Heartbreak as well! So while you take a listen to the EP, read through this revealing interview into the life and mind of David. Keep up to date on his projects and whereabouts because David has a bright future a head of him. He can be found on Facebook, Soundcloud and Twitter, or collectively at his own Website. Now, enjoy the following segments!

David Heartbreak Interview
Moombroton: First off, how did you get into music and more specifically EDM?
Heartbreak: I got into electronic music by Daft Punk. I actually purchased ‘Revolution 909′ back in the day and thought it was instrumentals (haha). But them along with Timbaland and Bjork, that was all EDM to me, plus I grew up listening to a lot of hip hop and rock, thats where I get my aggressive side from. Honeslty, I was very closed minded, I didn’t go as far as I do now into music, only regret I have. The types of music that you listen to says a lot about your personality.

Now let me tell you from first hand experience that this festival is definitely the top contender when it comes to EDM shows in Colorado. Obviously the beautiful venue plays a major role but the production and all around vibe calls for a one of a kind experience. Last year I had the pleasure of seeing artists such as Knife Party, Hardwell, Zeds Dead, Excision, and Dillon Francis rock the stage with seamless mixing and massive choons.
Well for the 11th year in a row Global Dance Festival is back at Red Rocks July 19th thru the 21st. If you’re feeling the pressure from finals and end of the school year projects, then you’re not the only one. After all, we literarily have a couple of weeks left until most of our summers begin. Here is a midtempo track to get you ready for all the dancing you are going to do during festival season. K-Theory and JPinnau are two up and coming artist you will be glad you discovered now as both are getting more massive. Vengeance is a great glitchy track filled with a set of masterful patterns.
The San Francisco natives K-Theory have recently been creating some great songs for people to enjoy. They most recently did a remix of “Slap Me” for Kill Paris‘s “To A New Earth”, released on Skrillex’s OWSLA. This song is similar in that it has a lot of energy and a variety of different sounds. Make sure to go check out more of their recent bangers like The Limit and Stutter.
Enjoy!

So apparently this R.O cat is has been busting out some nasty glitch beats for awhile now. I came across the song ‘Mad Savant’ the other day and immediately had to check out the rest of this mastermind’s stuff; and let me tell you I was not disappointed. After a funky four bar intro, the fatty beat takes over and you will be groovin’ outta control. Just wait though, some filthy synths kick in that make for an all around get down.
Your second dose of mid-tempo madness is another fresh original from R.O. ‘Funk With The Machines’ is a massive tune that shows this Italian’s skills which have some elements that remind me of big glitch names such as Opiuo or Vibsquad and even a little Koan Sound. Make sure to snag these fo’ free and go show R.O some love on Facebook and Soundcloud. Enjoy!!
