Bass music events are quite the phenomenon. The deepest of attractiveness stems from their ability to bring people together in an environment removed of all preconceived notions and stereotypes; allowing a truly loving, thankful culture to exist. Ecstatic, but ill-fated, Tanner Seebaum understands this better than most of us could hope to. Plagued by a spinal tumor, cancer hasn’t stopped Tanner and his courageous family from making his dreams of performing as a DJ come true!
Dreams is taking place Wednesday June 19th at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom and all proceeds will benefit the Tanner Seebaum Foundation for child brain and spine tumor awareness/research. The ever powerful Downlink has teamed up with Play Me label boss babe, Reid Speed, to create a lineup of some of the best local DJ’s including Ishe, Fury, and Moombroton favorite Dirt Monkey! We’ve included Dirt Monkey’s remix of TC’s “Tap Ho” as well as a fiery mix from Reid Speed. If you have never listened through a whole mix of her’s, prepare to be amazed. One of the best mixers I have ever heard.
Thanks for tuning in and please try to make it out to this wonderful night of Dreams and help crush cancer!
Now let me tell you from first hand experience that this festival is definitely the top contender when it comes to EDM shows in Colorado. Obviously the beautiful venue plays a major role but the production and all around vibe calls for a one of a kind experience. Last year I had the pleasure of seeing artists such as Knife Party, Hardwell, Zeds Dead, Excision, and Dillon Francis rock the stage with seamless mixing and massive choons.
Well for the 11th year in a row Global Dance Festival is back at Red RocksJuly 19th thru the 21st. They still haven’t released the full lineup yet, but who they have announced so far reassures us that the rest of the artists are gonna be some heavy hitters. July 19: Beats Antique, EOTO, Emancipator, Ott, Zoogma, Signal Path, and Sorne. July 20th: Savoy, Sander van Doorn, Arty, Emma Hewitt, Carnage, K-Theory, and Ecotek. July 21st: Mimosa, GRiZ, Gramatik, Baauer & RL Grime, Kill Paris, and Seven Lions. Can’t wait to see all of your beautiful faces there!
I’m hearing rumors that tickets are almost 75% sold out, so grab em before they’re gone right here: http://bit.ly/GDF2012Tix
Say whaaaaaa!?!? That’s right, you are seeing the screen correctly. On Saturday, June 29th we, along with Crowdsurf,The Dankles, LiveNation, Got Bass Music, and Element present Brillz, Torro Torro, and Protohype (+ more) at Foam Wonderlandin Denver, CO! Considering we will all be getting wet at the massive Fillmore Auditorium, this is by far the biggest and baddest foam setup Denver has ever seen; YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS!
Trapfest, I don’t even know where to start… First of all, we would like to thank every single one of you that attended! All of you contributed to a night full of high energy and all around amazing vibes. From Beverly Trillz all the way to Bro Safari, every artist controlled the crowd with seamless mixing and fatty beats that probably had the entire street thuggin’ out.
To kick off the night we had artists such as Lexi Fey and Vinnie Maniscalo on the Got Bass stage throwing down some face melting bass facing type shit while Beverly Trillz was over holding down the main stage. The real party started when Trapzillas played a massive set which led straight into the almighty Luminox absolutely destroying the crowd. He could not have hyped the crowd up better for ETC!ETC! who definitely did not disappoint. By the time his set ended the energy was off the charts and everyone was pumped the fuck up for Bro Safari. As usual, he fulfilled the crowds needs with fat, grimy sausage bass which made for an all around gangster party.
All in all, the first installment of Trapfest was completely flawless and we here at Moombroton feel extremely blessed we were given the opportunity to be a part of everything. A big thank you once again to each of you that attended, I think we can all come to the conclusion that the trap actually ran us that night. Without further adieu I give you the official recap video and some photos from our homie over at 303 Photography. Let the (slight) memories commence for those who attended and jealousy for those who didn’t. Make sure to stay tuned in on the Trapfest Facebook though to see if the tour is coming to your town! Infected Mushroom made a well expected stop at the legendary Ogden Theater on February 22. The stop was one of 10 U.S. dates on their FungusAmongUs Tour, which kicked off in South Burlington, Vermont. The two brought their massive stage “FungusAmongUS” (from Vita Motus and V Squared Labs production- Same as Amon Tobin). The stage looked futuristic and very promising of a bass heavy night filled with space travel. They dropped multiple songs that had the crowd jumping up and down tirelessly. The environment was filled with hype and appreciation for crushing synths. I could definitely see the dedicated following the Israeli duo has in Colorado.
