If you have been keeping up on the EDM Digest posts then you will recall that DJ SAV‘s debut EP was going to be released. Well, it’s here! Our friend, Stephen Vasquez teamed up with producer Happy Colors to create an absolute masterpiece of a project. The EP, entitled “Good Times”, features three songs that take the OG moombahton style and bring it into a fresh new light.
The first track, “Calle Luna Calle Boom“, uses latin audio samples coupled with some incredible production to create a sexy moombahton banger. Next comes the massive track “Pow Pow“. It isn’t one of those tracks that comes at you hard, like some moombahcore, but this track brings a big attitude with minimalistic undertones. Big and simple; amazing! The concluding track features a more than appropriate sample from the number one hype man, Mystereo. “Drink Erthang” is one of those tracks that will get everybody going at any type of event, whether it be at a house party, club or festival.

With yet another release, MUST DIE! continues taking the scene by storm and make a lasting impression with hard hitting bass and driving UK type synths. This EP titled ‘Caffeine’ is no different than the previous ones, meaning that you are likely to get the fuck down in the middle of the room by yourself. Every track is a must hear and there is even an appearance from Jaws who is a member of Terravita.
Released by none other than Datsik’s Firepower Records, you will find the normal skanky, in your face type bangers, but there are also a few songs that show us MUST DIE!’s vast range of skills. ‘The Arena’ is the intro song and its some 140 dance type biz that is sure to get anyone groovin’. ‘Symmetry’ is the one he collabed on with Jaws. Surprisingly he is actually just being featured on the vocals, but I’m sure he contributed a bit production wise. Lastly, the outro song titled ‘Nightwatch’ I can safely say is definitely the most unique song on the EP. Filled with a plethora of what sounds like Violins, I can picture a large orchestra playing this out beautifully. Turn up that volume knob, enjoy!

The conception of Milo & Otis between producers Killagraham and NYMZ has paved the way for some of our favorite Moombahton and Trap releases. We have been repeatedly satisfied by their unoriginal mixes of Oasis’ Wonderwall, and most recently their phenomenal 3 track Moombahton EP “Memebahton”. Dillon Francis dropped the “Like A Sir” at the first weekend of Ultra!

This one is for all you moombahcore lovers. Barrel of Monkeys are an Australian duo packing a lot of phat beats. “Step Back” is a great moombahcore track filled with filthy synths and massive sounds. From start to finish the energy they create is unmatchable. The second drop is my personal favorite. The entire track is just well produced for lack of better words. Moombahcore is a great sub-genre created and more explored with the new wave of producers around the world. This track plays around with a lot of unique sounds and creates a new appreciation for moombahton. With this type of banger, Australian producer PR!NTZ raises the bar for most up and coming producers. “Brbrbrat” is a massive Trap track filled with bubbles and energetic synths. From start to finish he uses a number of sounds that change and highlight his “Australian” style. Glitchy record scratches along with other constructional/tool sounds arranged in a unique and beautiful matter make his music comparable to the great Bro Safari.
“Brbrbrat” is a heavy bass track made to be played loud. It has a distinguishing reverse/brake sound that might be foreign to a lot of listeners. PR!NTZ is simply an innovate producer who has a lot of potential to stretch his own ability along with the genres he produces. Make sure to go to his facebook and show him some love.
