Everyone’s May 6th should have been full of Savant and Knife Party. Savant teamed up with Adam K and JELO for a two song EP with some dope electro house. Knife Party released ‘Haunted House’ which was full of, well, more electro house! On the KP release, I do have to say that my favorite is “Power Glove”. Which is yours!? Next, things you need to stay tuned for. Two pictures have been posted, one showing the exportation of a “Thumbs Up” remix by Kill The Noise! The second is a lovely creeper pic from none other than Sir Dillon Francis himself, over the shoulder of Diplo. It says they are collabing, so let’s hope that’s true! That would be a massive track. Aaaaand here’s a third pic of Wolfgang’s epic cat tattoo. Now digest!

Shorne: The amount of anticipation that Daft Punk has built up for their upcoming album release of ‘Random Access Memories’ is starting to get a bit ridiculous. Between their fifteen second commercial spots on Saturday Night Live, and constant release in the Collaborator Series from musicians and producers that the French duo has been blessed to work with; everyone on the internet must know of its impending May 21st release. Now we’ve got an up close and personal interview with Guy-Manuel and Thomas Bangalter as they talk with Pete Tong about what they have been up to since their last world tour! Enjoy these inspirational words.

The first thing that must be addressed is the fact that today is our good friend Bro Safari‘s birthday! So head over to one of Nick’s various social media pages and give him some love. Also, if you missed his recently released “Danger” collab with Sazon Booya, then you must listen! DJ SAV announced that he will be releasing his solo EP in the near future and he is currently posting teaser webisodes on his Youtube account. Besides for those, another thing that may be of interest to some of you are the giveaways that Play Me Records will be doing on 4/20. Make sure to be aware of the many contests that they will be doing because they will be giving away some insane items! Now, let’s move on and get into the sonic section!

Shorne: Long live Daft Punk! “Random Access Memories” releases with Columbia Records on May 21st and is the first music we have heard from them since they created the music for the Disney film “Tron”. This sneak into the new album from The Creators Project gives us a chilling look into Daft Punk’s collaboration with Giorgio Moroder and foreshadows some pretty amazing collaborations on the rest of the album. This is the future of dance music.

Bro Safari & Sazon Booya – Danger: Absolutely Massive Moombahcore

Bro Safari Sazon Booya Danger Absolutely Massive Moombahcore Bro Safari & Sazon Booya Danger: Absolutely Massive Moombahcore

I don’t think I have heard a release this intensely massive in a very long time. Especially for a moombah track! This highly anticipated banger is brought to everyone now for free by the beloved Bro Safari and Sazon Booya. I have personally seen both of these acts perform, never getting to hear this track, but if I did, I think I would have been quite literally blown away from the intensity of this one. The driving bass is so filthy and heavy, which just goes to show the design talent and incredible ear these producers have. Each contributor brought their flavor to the table and the product that was created is a true testament to where moombah can be taken!

Show your support to these artists by heading over to their Facebook pages and giving them a like, comment, message or anything else!

Now that we are well recovered from Trapfest, we are free to get back on track with all your digestive necessities. For those of you who missed out on Trapfest, well… You missed out. City Hall was absolutely ballistic with killer sets by the likes of Bro Safari, ETC! ETC!, Luminox and others. Even before all of this madness happened some lucky people like Shorne, Ryan and I, got to witness Koan Sound at Beta the night before as well. This weekend was filled with some massive tunes and we are coming to you now to bring some similarly mad tunes your way.

Before we get to the music, we have a single huge announcement for the world of electronic music. We alread knew it was coming, but Daft Punk has officially registered with Sony for a (most likely) 13 track release. So you better stay tuned for that! In the mean time, hold your cravings over with some insane tracks in this weeks digest.

Shorne: Ratatat – Shempi (Goodzie Remix)

It’s been far too long since we posted a track from Goodzie, and he’s definitely one of our favorite up and coming producers from the UK. This round he’s back with a 110 bpm remix of Ratatat‘s “Shempi“. Doing the original just the right amount of justice, Ratatat’s killer beat lays down the foundation for Goodzie’s emotional UK bass to freshen it up. Enjoy this free download!

Bro Safari – The Drop : Massive Trap Anthem

artworks 000041746360 x1s6oy crop Bro Safari The Drop : Massive Trap Anthem
“The Drop” is a ridiculously amazing Trap song from the moombahton and trap master Bro Safari. It encompasses all the great sounds of Trap we love with Bro Safari’s personal flare of jungle music. This track, much like most of Bro Safari’s production, has a brain shaking drop that will exceed any listener’s expectations. It is filled with energy, anticipation, and epic synths. Beyond that, it has a chorus that continuously builds up each drop to be epic. Once again, Bro Safari shows his ability to create a song for masses to get rowdy too. Bro Safari is definitely one of our favorite producers. We are excited to hear this along with other bangers at TRAPFEST. (Tickets to TRAPFEST)

Enjoy!
