Now let me tell you from first hand experience that this festival is definitely the top contender when it comes to EDM shows in Colorado. Obviously the beautiful venue plays a major role but the production and all around vibe calls for a one of a kind experience. Last year I had the pleasure of seeing artists such as Knife Party, Hardwell, Zeds Dead, Excision, and Dillon Francis rock the stage with seamless mixing and massive choons.

 

Well for the 11th year in a row Global Dance Festival is back at Red Rocks July 19th thru the 21st. They still haven’t released the full lineup yet, but who they have announced so far reassures us that the rest of the artists are gonna be some heavy hitters. July 19: Beats Antique, EOTO, Emancipator, Ott, Zoogma, Signal Path, and Sorne. July 20th: Savoy, Sander van Doorn, Arty, Emma Hewitt, Carnage, K-Theory, and Ecotek. July 21st: Mimosa, GRiZ, Gramatik, Baauer & RL Grime, Kill Paris, and Seven Lions. Can’t wait to see all of your beautiful faces there!

Happy Monday Everyone!! Today we’re doing a special feature on a group out of our very own city Denver, Colorado. Bass Physics is an Electronic music group started and based out of the bass/EDM capital and Mile-high state of Denver. Pretty Lights, Big Gigantic, Paper Diamond, EOTO are just a few artist to plant their musical seeds in the state of Colorado. Now joining this impressive list of artist is Bass Physics. The energetic duo strives to bring listeners a new level of appreciation of music, and spread positive vibes in doing so.

Me gusta Moombahton! Milo & Otis have released their latest, greatest, and first official EP ‘Memebahton‘ featuring Me Gusta, (Feel) Like A Sir, and Bitch Please (Virgin Ya), all of which I would call some real OG Moombahton. The “Dem Bow” inspiration really shines through more than their other Moombahton / Moombahcore songs, but I love that the duo is still working to keep this groovy jungle genre afloat.
 
Me Gusta has been on all of our Moombahton radars since they released a preview of the track a couple months back, and the full version satisfies all the hype! Can’t wait to hear it dropped on some massive speakers. “Bandz A Maker Her Dance” is too long of a song title to begin with. Nevertheless, it has verses from the famous Lil Wayne, Juicy J, and 2 Chains. This Hiphop anthem, played by every dirty-south dj, just got even better with a very glitchy and hood remix OG Status released. The song aligns each rapper’s verse and the wild ‘ratchet’ feel it has with an exciting glitch/trapstep drop.
 
The first drop of the song is filled with an exciting pattern of lasers. Then, it transitions into very mean sounding synths that have the same vibrating qualities as Kill The Noise. With claps and snares that are clear as ice, this track is very hype and perfect for parties or shows. Enjoy!

Dirt Monkey and Point.Blank recently took over the charts with their filthy genre defying “BOH” EP; courtesy of the notoriously grimy Play Me Records. Ranging from some booty bouncin’ trap to some straight medieval glitch hop, the release traverses a wide variety of sounds but definitely stays damn gnarly the whole way through.
 
Point.Blank’s melodies are just too damn groovy to not head bob as soon as “Medieval” drops into some dark age glitch! I had never noticed the similarity between Dirt Monkey and Point.Blank’s production style till now, but they are quite complimenting. Teaming up on the similarly titled track “Boh”, they create a 140 bpm dubstep tune that will tear an intergalactic hole in any set of speakers. And now you can get in on this action too!
