Everyone’s May 6th should have been full of Savant and Knife Party. Savant teamed up with Adam K and JELO for a two song EP with some dope electro house. Knife Party released ‘Haunted House’ which was full of, well, more electro house! On the KP release, I do have to say that my favorite is “Power Glove”. Which is yours!? Next, things you need to stay tuned for. Two pictures have been posted, one showing the exportation of a “Thumbs Up” remix by Kill The Noise! The second is a lovely creeper pic from none other than Sir Dillon Francis himself, over the shoulder of Diplo. It says they are collabing, so let’s hope that’s true! That would be a massive track. Aaaaand here’s a third pic of Wolfgang’s epic cat tattoo. Now digest!
Shorne: The amount of anticipation that Daft Punk has built up for their upcoming album release of ‘Random Access Memories’ is starting to get a bit ridiculous. Between their fifteen second commercial spots on Saturday Night Live, and constant release in the Collaborator Series from musicians and producers that the French duo has been blessed to work with; everyone on the internet must know of its impending May 21st release. Now we’ve got an up close and personal interview with Guy-Manuel and Thomas Bangalter as they talk with Pete Tong about what they have been up to since their last world tour! Enjoy these inspirational words.

EDM Digest 005: Nom De Strip, Mimosa, Bass Bocs & LeDoom

Although this week may not have had numerous occurrences, that does not mean that there hasn’t been anything extraordinary. The legendary duo Daft Punk announced their return with their fourth album which is set to be released in the spring with Columbia Records. Kill Paris released his highly anticipated “To A New Earth” EP which is another must get OWSLA product. Another notable release this week comes from the French producer Kavinsky, who released his album, “Outrun”, on February 25th. The last of our news comes from Dillon Francis who announced he will be premiering the music video for “Bootleg Fireworks (Burning Up)” on Tuesday via the Potato youtube channel.
Another newsworthy event was the arrival of more Moombroton gear! We have shirts, tanks and stickers that will be up for order sometime in the future. We will also be giving away some stuff so be ready! Now off the topic of fresh clothes and on to the fresh music. Enjoy your digest for this week.
Shorne: Moombahton OG LeDoom has teamed up with Play Me Records to release his latest DVRKNESS OVER EVERYTHING EP featuring a whole new set of down and dirty sounds and concepts! The title track “Darkness Over Everything” is an epic electric house original that could only be compared to the music Feed Me has been putting out. He teams up with Sluggo on a moombahton track as well! This is definitely my favorite LeDoom EP yet and we can’t wait to hear more!

EDM Digest: Installment 004 w/ Clockwork, The M Machine, Kai Wachi & More!

This week we have only great news to report and insane music! If there is a release from this week that is an imperative to get, then that release would be Revolvr‘s “Clockwork” EP. It’s free, so head over to his Facebook and get it. Tomorrow we’ll see a groundbreaking moment in the world of electronic music, with Madeon being the first ever dance music producer to perform at the New York Stock Exchange. It is for the Kairos 50 event, which honors businesses started by undergraduate entrepreneurs. Last but certainly not least, Sir Dillon Francis released his rendition of the Harlem Shake phenomenon, which was filmed inside of a Taco Bell. Got to love him. And Taco Bell.
On a side note, Trapfest is less than a month away and I happened to book my flight to Colorado this week to go. So who of you will I see there!? If you haven’t yet, make sure to purchase your tickets which you can do here! We have some massive tunes for you guys this week. So without further adieu, enjoy your sonic digestion.
Shorne: The trap gods have answered our prayers with this one and brought us an absolutely ridiculous trap anthem from Moombroton favorite Kai Wachi! His basslines are just so damn phat, and teaming up with Squnto they create some hella groovy trap. Once again Kannibalen Records releases only the best tunes they can get there hands on. Take a listen and prepare yourself for some crazy trap style bass!
