Everyone’s May 6th should have been full of Savant and Knife Party. Savant teamed up with Adam K and JELO for a two song EP with some dope electro house. Knife Party released ‘Haunted House’ which was full of, well, more electro house! On the KP release, I do have to say that my favorite is “Power Glove”. Which is yours!? Next, things you need to stay tuned for. Two pictures have been posted, one showing the exportation of a “Thumbs Up” remix by Kill The Noise! The second is a lovely creeper pic from none other than Sir Dillon Francis himself, over the shoulder of Diplo. It says they are collabing, so let’s hope that’s true! That would be a massive track. Aaaaand here’s a third pic of Wolfgang’s epic cat tattoo. Now digest!
Shorne: The amount of anticipation that Daft Punk has built up for their upcoming album release of ‘Random Access Memories’ is starting to get a bit ridiculous. Between their fifteen second commercial spots on Saturday Night Live, and constant release in the Collaborator Series from musicians and producers that the French duo has been blessed to work with; everyone on the internet must know of its impending May 21st release. Now we’ve got an up close and personal interview with Guy-Manuel and Thomas Bangalter as they talk with Pete Tong about what they have been up to since their last world tour! Enjoy these inspirational words.

EDM Digest 014: Regulators, Preyfour, Enteroar, Brown & Gammon!

For many of us, it’s that time of year again, the dreaded finals weeks. To help that along we have some amazing tunes for you guys this week that are sure to motivate you. But first, some news. Dubstep OG, Benga is releasing his brand new album in two days, which coincides with the Knife Party release. That’ll be one hell of a day! For those of you who know the chip tune band ANAMANAGUCHI, they finally have another album finished, with 22 tracks, but are looking for fiscal help to take it, along with other ideas (Merchandise, Live Show stuff etc.), to the next level. If anybody is interested then head over to Kickstarter to see what their project is and what they want out of it. Lastly, to get your lolz for the weekend here are 14 pictures of Producer/Djs from back in the day! Now, on to the sonic portion of your digestion!
Shorne: Brown & Gammon‘s vintage production style is bringing us a fresh new take on dance music reminiscent of edm’s roots. “Dark Matter” is a mesmerizing original electro tune from the UK based duo and was just recently released by the renowned Circus Records. Circus continues to build upon the platform Flux Pavilion laid down as founder of the label, and have just added the filthy up and coming Mizuki to the roster. Haven’t heard much from Flux recently but word on the street has it that he is also working on a live project much like Excision‘s Destroid, which will be premiering this summer at festivals across the world!

PR!NTZ – Brbrbrat : Massive Australian Trap

With this type of banger, Australian producer PR!NTZ raises the bar for most up and coming producers. “Brbrbrat” is a massive Trap track filled with bubbles and energetic synths. From start to finish he uses a number of sounds that change and highlight his “Australian” style. Glitchy record scratches along with other constructional/tool sounds arranged in a unique and beautiful matter make his music comparable to the great Bro Safari.
“Brbrbrat” is a heavy bass track made to be played loud. It has a distinguishing reverse/brake sound that might be foreign to a lot of listeners. PR!NTZ is simply an innovate producer who has a lot of potential to stretch his own ability along with the genres he produces. Make sure to go to his facebook and show him some love.
Enjoy!

EDM Digest 008: MUST DIE!, Psychologic, Kroktopus & SWEATER BEATS

It seems as though with each successive week there is yet another development or occurrence pertaining to the highly anticipated return of Daft Punk. Word has come out about their “Random Access Memories” album stating that it will be release on May 21st. So now we have a hopefully not tentative date with that! In other news, there has been a recently developed conflict between ROT10 Musik and Moomba+, in that there was a mishap of communication and fiscal propagation. Moombah+ will no longer be posting about any ROT10 acts, such as Sazon Booya, AGLORY, as well as any endeavors related to ROT10. However, we will continue to post any relevant materials that ROT10 Musik affiliates create.
For those of you confused about the Digest schedule, we will be back to doing them on Fridays this week. Trapfest business got us all tied up but things will be back to normal. This week we bring you guys a dose of some of the chiller music we have encountered lately. Sometimes you just have to take a break from raging or getting your face melted and cool down. Let’s face it, we have all been there! So without further introduction, have a wonderful week and enjoy your sonic digestion!
Shorne: MUST DIE! keeps on impressing with each and every track he has been putting out, and this latest batch of free music included some ridiculously dope songs such as this Dubstep / Trap banger “Octopus”. I would call it a combination of Skrillex and Kill The Noise but on a whole different level. Even with the filth he still keeps the melodic feel. Check it.
