The bass music project entitled Destroid, which consists of Excision, Downlink and KJ Sawka have released their first album. ‘The Invasion’ has ten songs, with amazing collaborators like Bassnectar and Far Too Loud. However, the last song on the album is one that really caught my attention. Excision teamed up with Space Laces for an absolutely massive, bass heavy (of course), moombahcore track. “Funk Hole” not only brings the usual Excision bass, but brings a hardcore groovy mood that will cause anyone and everyone to start getting down. I have no doubt that I will be playing this one out for a long time. The range of genres in this release was a little surprise to me, but nonetheless, a good one. Make sure to check out the rest of the tracks and buy this album. You will not regret it!
Head over to Destroid’s Facebook to stay up to date on this epic project! If you are in any area that they will be performing at, then make sure to get a ticket. This project is not only musical, but visual as well. Destroid is bringing a whole new experience to audiences.

First off, we hope everyone is well recovered from their Friday night. So for those of you who may need a little pick me up, or even the ones who are already ready to go back out and party, we have just the stuff for you. This is the first installment of our aptly named weekly segment entitled “EDM Digest“. In these posts we will feature 5 songs, chosen individually by each Moombro and presented for you all to listen and acquire! There will be a new installment every Friday.
With so much cutting edge music being released, we found it an imperative to bring it all to you. The mass creativity and diversity that is continually expanding the scene is phenomenal and is producing some insane tracks from the most talented artists. Moombahton came from such a process and continues to feed into the same process now that it has been thriving in existence for a little longer than 3 years. So every Friday, turn up the volume and prepare to have your mind blown by getting your fix from the EDM Digest!
Since this is more of a weekly music news segment, we will be covering a wide range of genres. So be ready for anything! If there is a major release in any genre and one of us thinks it is a pertinent listen, then this is where you will catch it! We will be sure to give you the best music that is out there.
Shorne:Datsik‘s “Cold Blooded : Part One” EP quickly took over the #1 spot on the iTunes Electronic Music charts and for damn good reason. It’s filled with some righteously produced bass filth that only Datsik could sought out to create. That is unless he is teaming up with bass god Excision for some Moombahton greatness like he does on the track “Vindicate”! Without doubt my favorite track off Cold Blooded, but you should check out “Juicebox” too! A dope hip-hop influenced glitch track off the EP.

I cannot get enough of this Excision remix album. Released on Deadmau5′s label, Mau5trap, the X Rated Remix album is filled to the brim with some of the filthiest tunes I’ve ever heard. The Far Too Loud remix of Sexism is absolute fire. But it comes in a close second to this ridiculous Dirtyphonic’s remix of the Datsik and Excision original, Deviance.
Starting off with all our favorite beats per minute they go hard with the moombah and into some even dirtier drumstep. Dirthyphonics has certianly become one of my favorite Drumstep projects and their 110 will not disappoint. enjoy.

Far Too Loud has stepped up their game with the brand new fearsome Firestorm EP and their MUST hear MOOMBAH / ELECTRO song 600 Years! Not only did I hear Knife Party drop this as one of their few moombahton songs this weekend at Global Dance Festival, but the almighty Excision opened up with it for his first headlining set at Red Rocks. Needless to say this is one of the hottest moombahton tracks of the summer!
And with that I’m uber excited to announce that Moombroton.com will now have a Youtube Page! From now on you’ll be able to find each of our songs on their and some exclusives that Soundcloud doesn’t allow us to upload. Check it out!
With this week bringing us a brand new Dirt Monkey EP on the ferocious Rottun label (Excision’s), so comes an extremely dirty moombahcore remix of his original mix, In The Place. The tunes are already starting to chart on beatport so you should definitely check them out! And with the second of three tracks on the EP, we’ve got Go, the collaboration between up and coming Boulder dubstepper Steptech. This tune is huge so take a listen and enjoy!
