So apparently this R.O cat is has been busting out some nasty glitch beats for awhile now. I came across the song ‘Mad Savant’ the other day and immediately had to check out the rest of this mastermind’s stuff; and let me tell you I was not disappointed. After a funky four bar intro, the fatty beat takes over and you will be groovin’ outta control. Just wait though, some filthy synths kick in that make for an all around get down.
Your second dose of mid-tempo madness is another fresh original from R.O. ‘Funk With The Machines’ is a massive tune thatshows this Italian’s skills which have some elements that remind me of big glitch names such as Opiuo or Vibsquad and even a little Koan Sound. Make sure to snag these fo’ free and go show R.O some love on Facebook and Soundcloud. Enjoy!!
Notixx has come a long way since he was last featured on the site with his remix of Calvertron’s ‘Buggin.’ This funky fresh glitch hop anthem ‘Inspirations’ has been given out fo’ free in light of him reaching 10,000 fans on Facebook, so I think a congratulations is in order! His music has been getting support from Caspa and the rest of the Dub Police family for awhile now; also make sure to keep an eye out for his next EP release which should be happening within the next couple months I believe. Turn it up and get the funk down!
The French sure are good at producing funky dance music. Obviously influenced by the infamous Frenchmen duo Daft Punk, The Noisy Freaks have that next level sound. As soon as you hear it you will see what I mean.
Combining elements of disco and funk with the heavier elements of glitch and electro, they have created a sound unique to themselves yet familiar enough to the masses that they have something for everyone. And this remix of Stevie Wonders‘s Superstition is a perfect example of their ability to masterfully create something that I think even Stevie himself would approve of. Crank the bass and enjoy this next level glitch hop!
It’s a guarantee that every track Dillon Francis puts out is gonna be funky and maybe even a bit weird. And team that up with nu disco phenom Madeon and you’ve got one of the craziest, melodic, hard, funk filled tracks I’ve ever heard. While I was hoping that he would get away from this same style that he’s repeated in his Hulk and Daydreamer Remix, this is still one of the better new takes on the MOOMBAHTON genre.
And if you haven’t heard the original by Madeon, i highly recommend taking a listen! This kid is gonna be the next big thing. enjoy!
Electro heavy weights, Noisia are very influential people. That is exactly why if they ask you do to a remix for them you don’t hesitate. Lucky for us, Receptor did it big. He decides to take the original, and in my opinion, gives it just the twist it was looking for. It makes me want to dance the same way a Pretty Lights or other glitch hop song does. But take a listen and decide for yourself!
