This Boulder local and now Sub.Mission resident has been pumping out only the freshest of tunes since he entered the scene back in 2011. After a brief production hiatus, Steptech is back in action and I honestly could not be happier. Instead of his normal fat, grimy sausage bass type stuff he shows us some variety with an incredibletrapstep original ‘I Can Do.’ The flawless vocal chopped intro guides you smoothly into a laser – filled drop that is straight madness. I promise it will not disappoint, enjoy!
Remember our buddy Mendez who brought us the fat remix of I got 5 On It awhile ago? Well he has made his way back on the Moombroton radar, but this time with a HUGE moombahcore original. The eerie intro will probably make you think of The Exorcist or Halloween, but don’t be scurred. Crunchy, room-filling synths unleash at the drop that will definitely have you moving.
I like the grimier side Mendez is showing us with this track, compared to the normal minimal house or straight moombah that he usually produces. This is a guaranteed crowd pleaser so make sure to throw this little gem in all of your live sets. Turn that sub up!!
Our German friends from across the way, Kairo Kingdom, are back at it in full force with the Fantom EP, their latest release on Play Me Records. This EP consists of three moombahton and/or moombahcore tracks with one electro house song fitting its way into the equation. Hands down this is one of the best EP’s Play Me has released this year, so the extra $7 is definitely worth it, just give these two massive tunes a listen!!
Now we have this little gem from our buddy Mizchief. He takes the very driving, room filling original and turns it into some gritty moombahcore that makes anyone in hearing distance get down immediately. Head on over to Mizchief’s Soundcloud and give him a follow because he is constantly putting new stuff out on the reg’. Enjoy!
When it comes to Slamboree, they are literally one of a kind. As I’m sure you can see from the picture above, they are a live band with circus performers. The producer, Mike Freear, put this extraordinary group of people together back in March of 2011, and their name have been in festival lineups across Europe ever since. Their sound consists of Folk and ‘Gypsy’ type music infused with all the elements of EDM ranging from Drum N Bass to Electro. Well today I bring you perhaps the crunchiest, grimiest, bass heavy Glitch-Hop song I’ve ever heard. They have this labeled as Electro-Swing on Soundcloud and I can see why as the catchy show tune type sample in the beginning gets you in the groovin’ mood. Check out more of their stuff here. Do this tune some justice and listen to it on good speakers!
