Infected Mushroom made a well expected stop at the legendary Ogden Theater on February 22.  The stop was one of 10 U.S. dates on their FungusAmongUs Tour, which kicked off in South Burlington, Vermont. The two brought their massive stage “FungusAmongUS” (from Vita Motus and V Squared Labs production- Same as Amon Tobin).  The stage looked futuristic and very promising of a bass heavy night filled with space travel. They dropped multiple songs that had the crowd jumping up and down tirelessly. The environment was filled with hype and appreciation for crushing synths. I could definitely see the dedicated following the Israeli duo has in Colorado.

Hailing from Israel, Infected Mushroom has been around since before 2000 running the Psy-Trance scene. It seems that they adapted to the new sub genres of EDM, and have actually released some very high quality tunes. Infected teamed up with Datsik to create, ‘Evilution,’ which was released on Dim Mak Records back in February of 2012. Jonathon Davis’ (KORN) vocals add the extra “evil” touch to make for a creepy ass music video. Check this massive dubstep track out though I promise you won’t be disappointed!

 

Lets switch from creepy to sexy filth with a release off of Infected’s latest EP, Friends On Mushrooms called, ‘Mambacore.’ I honestly can’t really describe it or compare it to anything, all i can say is it’s some funky, jungle ridden moombahcore. Definitely worth the $1 on iTunes, so make sure to go show some love. On a different note, they recently started a tour. Make sure to keep an eye out for when they’re in your city! (Check below Colorado peeps)
