Happy Spring Break! If you are on vacation -away from your regular schedule- and in need of a tune to break out for your friends or family we got you covered. Here is a lethal combination between Chicago based Lemi Vice and Indianapolis based Action Jackson. Once again the two come together and make a massive remix for us to play over and over again. The Trap remix of “Listen To Your Heart” is only one of the many impressive collaborations between these two. This one in particular is transparent of the track’s original genre along with the duo’s tweak and flavor.
For those that are into Trap more than House/Trance then this is a perfect remix/song for a summer tune. It begins with high energy sounds that cleanly complement the smooth vocals of the song. Then the drop is surprising with more of a slowed down glitchy/chopped vocals surrounded by police siren sounds and crazy bubble synths. This just gets us more excited to hear what the two (indivually and together) have coming for us in the near future. “Listen To Your Heart” by D.H.T. got a well deserving Trap remix the way we see it. Macklemore – Thrift Shop (Psychic Type Remix) + The Code Remix + Pocket Monsters : Two Fat Trap Remixes And One Must Hear Original
I know all of you remember Jiclo’s bangin’ ass remix of ‘Make It Bun Dem’ by Skrillex, which is one of my all time favorites. Well he is back, showing us a completely different side of his production skills, and with a fresh much more suitable name, Psychic Type. Bumping bass lines and room filling synths are still a part of the show, but now it seems as though this Canadian now runs the trap!
In this remix of Thrift Shop, Psychic Type turns the tables from the seamlessly flowing vocals of the original by adding some more 808′s, and a saxophone like sound to accompany them. We are lucky to get this one for free so make sure to hit the DL.
Next up, we have this guys take on a tune that’s being released on Feb 4th. The Code by ,W&W and Ummet Ozcan,is a massive house song that has been getting a lot of attention from some big name DJ’s, well I guess that’s because it is being released on Hardwell’s label, Revealed Recordings. Unfortunately, we no longer have the download for Psychic Type’s trap remix, but we will share the purchase/download link on our Facebook as soon as it’s available, so make sure to go give us a like real quick.
Finally, I present to you the best Pokemon theme sampling I have heard to date; trap original, Pocket Monsters. The intro will take you back to 5th grade, but don’t fret, the excessively fat bass and choppy horn will bring you back to reality. Juicy J ft. 2 Chainz & Lil Wayne – Bandz A Make Her Dance (OG Status Retwerk)
“Bandz A Maker Her Dance” is too long of a song title to begin with. Nevertheless, it has verses from the famous Lil Wayne, Juicy J, and 2 Chains. This Hiphop anthem, played by every dirty-south dj, just got even better with a very glitchy and hood remix OG Status released. The song aligns each rapper’s verse and the wild ‘ratchet’ feel it has with an exciting glitch/trapstep drop.
The first drop of the song is filled with an exciting pattern of lasers. Then, it transitions into very mean sounding synths that have the same vibrating qualities as Kill The Noise. With claps and snares that are clear as ice, this track is very hype and perfect for parties or shows. Enjoy!
